Bio

Introduction:
I nominate the above person for the indicated category because: I believe that he deserved to be recognized for the contribution to these Cayman Islands. He started out Turtling in the Mosquito Cays. During his time back in Cayman from turtling, he would then go off to join a ship to go work at sea. He was a Bosun on the Mirco ship owned by the Merrens, sailing between Jamaica, Cayman and Cayman Brac. He also sailed on the National Bulk Carrier as an AB Seaman on the National Bulk Carrier. He was 48 years old on his last trip, returning home to the Cayman Islands for good in 1969. I am unable to fully articulate the attributes required as not only a Turtler but also a Seaman. I believe it takes a whole lot of courage and determination for such professions. My Grandfather was no less. He worked very hard and his time as a Turtler and a Seaman attest to that. It really doesn't matter if he's distinguished from others, what matters is that he contributed to the building of this country with hard work, pride, guts and determination. He is more than deserving to be honored/nominated for such an honorable role.
