Introduction:
Haymon Halon Dilbert, born August 16, 1918, became one of Cayman Bra's best known engineers of his era, even though he only possessed a Primary School education - but he was skilled at what he did. His seafaring career began as a young boy turtling and later sailing on Kirkconnell vessels and with National Bulk Carriers, Indian Towing and West Indian Line advancing to Chief Engineer before returning from sea.
