Introduction:
Known to most as Allen, sailed on the Merren's boats the Mispah, Antaris and Merco from Grand Cayman to the Miskito Cays and surrounding areas like most seaman of that era as an able bodied seaman. In October 1964 he got sick and ended up in the hospital in Tampa. Capt Curry said 'if Allen dies, the Merco going down too'. He passed away on 5th December 1964.
