Introduction:
I nominate Harvard Gorzong for the Pioneer Award. In 1972, Harvard went to sea at age 20. He spent 7 years at sea. He started as an Wiper, then became a Fireman. He ended his seaman's career as an Oiler. He sailed on the Imperial St. Lawrence, Imperial Ottawa and the Ore Jupiter. Like many other he provide much needed support to his family back home.
