Bio

Introduction:
I nominate the above person for the indicated category because he sailed for 32 years to various ports around the world. In 1948, at the tender age of 17 he embarked on his seafaring career with his first voyage being on a banana boat sailing from Nicaragua to the United States. Starting from the humble position of Ordinary Seaman he was able to work his way up over the years to the rank of Boatswain. Over the years he sailed on ships supplying iron ore, timber and crude oil to the United States and various other ports around the world. For 33 years he sailed until he was forced to retire in 1992 due to developing poliomyocytis as a result of working around asbestos on the ships over the years.MR. GEORGE WENT TO SEA FROM THE AGE OF 15 YEARS IN 1946 AND CONTINUED UNTIL1993. HIS SEA LIFE STARTED WITH THE MOSQUITO KEYS. THEN HE SAILED WITH NATIONAL BULK CARRIERS AND OTHER SHIPS WHICH TOOK HIM ALL OVER THE WORLD. HE AND HIS BUDDIES STILL FISH FOR FOOD AND THE LOVE OF THE SEA.
