Introduction:

DD-WB Mr Fredson McKinley Ebanks started early as a turtler. He sailed on the schooner 'Goldfield' and other Cayman schooners, plying between Cayman and other Caribbean and North American ports. Freddie sailed with the Swanee Steamship company out of Jacksonville, Florida and various other shipping companies, including Southwell (an agent under National Bulk Carriers). He played and integral part in the original set up of the Cayman Turtle Farm. He was married to Adelaide Ebanks. Mr. Fredson Ebanks passed away in 1977.
