Bio
Introduction:
We nominate our daddy the biggest hero we know. It was not until recently that a good friend older than us in the same age of our older brother and sister informed that our dad was a seafarer.
We are today productive citizens of this fair country and it is in no small part due to our father, Errol Reid Sr. born in Jamaica but matriculated to Cayman in the early 1960's. We were told that he sailed for the West India Line and sailed on the Inagua Cloud and Inagua Star in the late 1960's and early 1970's. He was according to our friend 2nd Assistant Engineer. We did not ask him what positions he held but some of us do remember him mentioning that he did go to sea for a short time.
With this said we would like to nominate him as a pioneer for the 2021 National Hero's Day Award.
