Introduction:
Eldridge Montgomery Ebanks 1875 to June 3, 1959
He was born and grew up in West Bay and as a young man worked with his father and grandfather farming and the turtling industry as he matured in age. He was known to be one of the best Pilots to the Turtle fishing areas in the Miskito Cays. After some years in the trade he purchased a boat and named it the 'WallSprit', which he used in the turtle, fishing trade also transporting people from West Bay to George Town,.
