Introduction:

The late Mr. Chauncey Sturdin Ebanks is being nominated for an award in the Early Pioneer category. Like so many Caymanian seamen of the day, Chauncey participated in the turtling industry from the 1920s to the late 1940s, with his last trip in 1949 to the Miskito Cays.
