During the seafaring years of 1974 - 1982, when my mother was not travelling to Ports in Brazil and USA with her husband Olney Scott Jr., who was Chief Engineer on US Company Tidewater Marine, she was amongst the throng of housewives at home caring for the family.  She later joined him in Mexico for 1 year when he was stationed there as Port Engineer.

My parents returned home to Cayman Brac in 1980, in consideration of schooling for the children, my aged father, and to work in his business J&J Motors.  She also worked along her husband in farming on the Bluff, fishing and turtling around the islands.  This was coupled with their Government Jobs - Mechanic with PWD and Community Development Officer with DCFS.
