He was an instructor for "At Sea" educational components for notable maritime academies and universities. He was a proud member of The Cayman Seafarers Association, The International Organization of Masters, Mates, and Pilots, and possessed certifications from the Maritime Institute of Technology and Graduate Studies. His navigational equipment (sextant) has been proudly donated and is on display at the Cayman Islands National Museum.
