Introduction:

William Bloomfield Ebanks was born on 23 September 1903 He was a career seaman who worked as an engineer, initially on the banana boats that operated between Tampa, Mexico and Honduras. His career began in the 1920s. He met and married his wife Consuelo in Tampico Mexico. He retired from the seaman's life around 1956 when he was sailing on the Rio Sacramento, also as an engineer. He passed away on 1 November 1985 at the age of 82.
