Introduction:
It is with great pride and humility that I nominate my dad Wilfred Marfield Chollette who was a true Pioneer. He joins many other distinguished seaman who salied the high seas and is to be commended for the significant role played in the development of the Cayman Islands. My dad's dedication, hardwork and perseverance exhibited is as direct result of his experience gained as a Seaman from the young age of 17 which spanned some 16 years. He held several positions such as F.W.T Oiler, Jr. Engineer and Third Assistant Engineer. In a 1961 letter of high recommendation (see attached) from the Chief Engineer of the S/S Ore Meridian Mr Brown described my dad as courteous, industrious, reliable and one who adapted to his duties at all times. This is who he is.
