Bio
Introduction:
Sailed on from 23rd June, 1955 until 1968 on following shops:- Percy Jordan, Benny H. Larson, Petrolene, Petro Sea, Bulk Oceanic, Ore Regent, Ore Meridian, Petro Emperor, Ore Chief, Ore Convey as Messman, AB, Bosun.
He sailed with other sea mates such as:- Capt. Coolidge Connolly, Capt. Ned Miller, Rex Crighton, Ashton Smith, Carson Smith, Ferdinand Seymour, Lloyd Whittaker, Lloyd Ebanks, Clifford Moore.
When on Bulk Oceanic sailing from California, USA to Japan encountered a major Typhoon, during which the ship suffered major damage and lost 2 of its 4 lifeboats but no loss of life. SOS was sent out and the USS Enterprise was sent to locate the ship and render assistance so that they could continue on their journey. Once in Japan they had to go into Dry Dock to replace all the pipe lines before discharging their cargo of oil.
When sailing on the Ore Chief he suffered a serious head injury and hospitalized in Norfolk, Virginia for over a month. Once he returned home we was referred to Jamaica for further assessment/treatment.
