Introduction:
I nominated Atha Forbes for the seafaring category. At that time in Cayman history , most young Cayman went to sea as a way of life and to support their
Families. He sailed on ships such as the Bulk Trader, Steineger and many others.
It was a hard way to make a living but he did it. Took care of his wife and raised 5 children. His wife passed away at the young age of 39.
As a single parent he then continued to raise and educate his children.
