DD - He went to sea at early age to help to provide for his family, whilst his father Boyd Powery also was at sea where I learnt to build, worked on deck and engine room, A.B., steering sail and many more and went with National Bulk, Canadian Company and a few more smaller ship companies for many years. He learned alot of skills; building houses, fixing engines, sailing on deck his was one the head managers.
