Introduction:
I nominate Osworth Jackson for the Pioneer award for his years as a seaman. Osworth first went to sea in 1965 age of 19. He spent 18 years as seaman. He started as a Messman/Bedroom Stewart and worked his way up to Quartermaster/AB. He worked on several ships in he 18 years. Some of which were, The Phoenix, Ore Transport, Ore Neptune, Ore Titan, Ottawa and the Phosphore Conveyor. Like many of the other seamen, Osworth supported his family while at sea.
