Bio
Introduction:
Nical Alberto Webster, chose to provide for his wife and children by becoming a seaman; to the best of the family's knowledge he served approximately fourteen years, from 1957 ' 1971. Although Alberto began working from the tender age of 12, he wanted to ensure he gave his family a good life and therefore set out to the seas as it was a profitable way to support his family.
He served on the following vessels; Ulysses, Petra Sea, Rio Sacramento and Sea Lane. His children and grand-children can fondly remember him sharing his stories about the many beautiful and amazing countries he visited while at sea, in his own words, he would pridefully exclaim 'I travelled all over the world, Japan, Germany, Saudi Arabia..'. Alberto had many different positions on the ships, ranging from cook to engineer.
His children can recall their mother, Veta Webster (nee Bush), proudly going to collect the allotments that Alberto would send home to his family.
Alberto was known to all who knew him as an extremely diligent worker and although he was fully dedicated to serving at sea, his children can recall a true testament to his character when he made sure to do all possible to temporarily return to Cayman because their mother was injured from being hit by a car.
The family is extremely grateful for the sacrifice Alberto made and would be overjoyed to have him honored for his service to family and country.
