Bio

Introduction:
Moses was a shipbuilder and spent many a day in the blazing sun building the schooners that would bring food and supplies to the people of Cayman Brae. He not only built the boats, but he sailed them. After years of training and experience, he earned the title of 'Captain'. Known as 'Capt. Moses', he was one of the founders of R. B. Kirkconnell Brothers. He spent many days and weeks at sea working tirelessly and missing his loved ones at home. One of Capt. Moses' many contributions to the island were his heroic efforts during the 1932 Storm. As one of the few men that were home when the storm hit, he worked to help many young and old people alike to get to shelter. Tragically in 1936 on one of his trips to the United States to bring supplies back to the islanders, his ship - the Nunoco - was lost at sea. We all owe much to courageous men such as Capt. Moses who risked and lost their lives for us.
