Introduction:
Captain Col was captain on several of the vessels around the local waters, such as the Riverhurst, Kirkconnell boats & Southwell vessels and 3rd mate on the Saintclair Petrore on Dec. 6, 1960 which blew up off the coast of Brazil. Captain Smith shipped around the islands between the Cayman Islands, Jamaica and Miami on the Island Prince as well for many years. It was through being able to ship out that Capt. Col was able to support and raise his wife's Lillian Smith 6 grandchildren.
