Introduction:
Matthew went to sea at the very early age of 19 with National Bulk Carriers to help support his family. The allotments sent home, not only fed his family and built his house but it assisted in the economic development and also was the beginning of the Banking Industry in the Cayman Islands. he sailed on the Petro King, Ore Regent as AB, bosun and cook with the likes of shipmate Holroy Walton. In his latter years as a seaman he world with Cayman Energy, a ship to ship transfer in Cayman Brac from 1977 - 1990.
